2025 Recap

As 2025 comes to a close, I find myself filled with gratitude for the incredible people and moments that shaped this year. To my photography clients who have become friends, and to my friends and family who continually support my equine photography business—thank you. Your encouragement, trust, and kindness mean more to me than I can ever express.

This year brought meaningful growth to my business, and I am so thankful for the many opportunities I had at the horse shows I photographed. So many of you welcomed me into your lives beyond the arena, allowing me to capture your families, beloved pets, senior graduates, and other important milestones. It is truly an honor to be trusted with preserving these moments in time.

.

This year was also deeply personal as my daughter Summer graduated from high school, bringing with it a true mix of emotions. Letting go is never easy, and this season was very much a roller coaster, but it was also filled with pride and gratitude. Watching her step into this next chapter and begin college this fall has been both bittersweet and exciting. I am incredibly proud of all she has accomplished and the growth, confidence, and strength she continues to show as she moves forward into her future.

2025 also brought the heartbreaking loss of my friend’s daughter, taken far too soon. She had an electric, unforgettable presence that left a lasting impression on everyone she met. I will forever hold close the memories from our session together and feel deeply grateful for the time I was able to spend with her.

This summer brought new creative inspiration as well, including the opportunity to explore a new location in Maine for print work. While I remain deeply passionate about portrait and show photography, I also continue to find joy and peace in photographing wildlife in its natural habitat, along with the ocean, lakes, national parks, and remote locations that remind me why I fell in love with photography in the first place.

Lastly, This year also brought a special personal milestone as I finally had the opportunity to show my gelding, Goinggangsterstyle—Roscoe. I’m deeply grateful to Amanda Pittman for her hard work with Roscoe and the guidance that helped us grow into a true team, both in the ring and on the trail. We showed locally in ranch and western dressage—two of my favorite disciplines—and I couldn’t be prouder of my boy and all we accomplished together. I’m looking forward to more time in the ring with him in 2026.

As I reflect on the lessons and blessings of 2025, I look forward to embracing 2026 with optimism, creativity, and continued growth. Thank you to everyone who has offered kind words, supported my business, and trusted me to capture your special moments. I am endlessly grateful and excited for what the new year will bring.
