Frequently asked questions
Where are you located and do you travel?
Keli Wakeley Photography is based in Newberry, Florida. I’m available to travel for portrait sessions, horse shows, dog shows, clinics, and other events throughout North, Central, and South Florida, as well as out-of-state locations. Travel fees are based on mileage/flight cost and the number of sessions booked in an area.
How should I prepare my horse and what should I wear?
To ensure your session goes smoothly, I recommend bathing and grooming your horse either the morning of or the day before your shoot. Clean, polished tack makes a big difference, and a simple, solid-colored halter or bridle (black or brown leather) photographs beautifully. If needed, I also have a small selection of bridles and halters available for use.
For your own attire, neutral and solid colors are preferred—they photograph timelessly and allow the focus to remain on you and your horse. Busy patterns or large logos can be distracting. After booking, you’ll receive a welcome guide with detailed preparation and wardrobe tips to help you feel confident and ready.
Whats included in my session?
All sessions include fully edited, high-resolution digital files delivered in a private online gallery. The number of images depends on the session type and length. From there, you’ll have the option to purchase prints, wall art, or albums.
How long does it take to receive my images?
Great question! Portrait galleries are usually ready within 2–3 weeks. To give you something to enjoy right away, sneak peeks and lightly edited previews are added to your gallery first, so you can start reliving your session while the full collection is finalized.
What’s the turnaround time for event photography?
You can expect event galleries to be delivered within 1–2 weeks, depending on the size of the show. Exhibitors who have pre-booked or requested coverage are prioritized, so you’ll receive your images as quickly as possible while I carefully curate the highlights and details of the event.
